Travis Rowe and Garrett Hayes good pitching jobs. Travis Rowe also added two hits and a couple of RBI's and Trey Cardinale also smacked a nice hit for a RBI in a nice effort from the Dogs. Thank Colonie for being good hosts.

Highlights:
All 4 pitchers did a great job in their 2nd or 3rd appeearnace this Fall Ball season.
Sean Phillips hit a towering shot with a hang time like an NFL punt that hit the wall in right on a short hop and he got an inside the park grand slam to top off the 3rd inning. Great job Sean! |

After a rocky defensive start to the game, the NC defense tightened up, the bats got hot and they boys battled back from an 8-1 deficit to tie up the game dramatic fashion and move on to extra innings. The 7th was just as dramatic when a freakish play happened with 2 outs where 2 opposing players collided and our player was on the ground while the 2 runners scored to go up 10-8. Our boys battled back and tied it back up on an inside the parker by Brett who did a phenomenal job to work himself out of pickle between 3rd and Home to make it a 10-10 tie. A scoreless 8th ended the game with a tie. Too bad both teams couldn't get a win for this one. It was a very exciting, well played baseball game. It was nice to play against a team like Wilton whose coaching staff showed great sportsmanship, and a genuine concern for the players on both teams. Thank you Mike and crew, you are a class act, and you teach the boys well. Great umpiring by the 2 patch umpires made it a fair, fun and friendly game on a wonderful Fall afternoon. All the boys left with smiles on their faces. That is what Fall Ball is all about! |
