Niskayuna pitched well and had the bats come alive when they needed too. Looking forward to the upcoming tournament at Spring. Good luck to Westland Hills as well. |

Another hot night and the boys came to play. Great pitching including William's first time on the mound. Sam had a nice hit in the fourth that brought in 2. Justin closed out the game striking out the top of Pine Bushes order 1, 2, 3. We really appreciated Pine Bush coming to play at our fields and they were a very nice team. We wish them luck. On to the States boys. |

Both teams played a solid game. Heavy rain came after 4 innings resulting in an 11-11 tie. |

Great game by both teams, NC should be proud! There were a lot of good hits by both teams and good pitching on both sides. Shakers your defense was sloppy during the second inning but much better after that, playing smart baseball. Outfielders keep getting that ball to the cutoff right away, infielders get the ball to your pitcher as soon as the play is over. Let’s go NC in the States! |

This was a great two day game where both teams had really good hitting and base running and not a lot of walks. Great experience for preparing for the State tournament. Padres fielding in the last inning hurt a bit with a number of fielding errors but this is a good learning experience for our 8 year old boys. We regroup and play Pine Bush and then spend a week getting ready for the State's next weekend. Keep your heads up high boys - can't win them all. |
