The Builders played a good game against one of the league's best team's, and held the lead for a few innings. Brendan "Bye- Bye" Navarro jacked his 7th home run of the season and added a double, while Owen "Big O" McClain had a double and a superb catch in left field. Mick "The Quick" Beletti- Naccaratto had a splendid catch in right field. Giovanni Rosetti pitched a great game striking out a few batters and giving up only two earned runs. Derek "Ding Dong" Baranski added a nice hit, and Patrick "Put me in coach I'm ready to play" Engelbride had two hits and scored two runs. Colin "No More Mr. Nice Guy" made two great plays at third.

Cal Closets finished the regular season with a win over a tough Swift squad. The Cal boys trailed early but mounted a comeback for the win. Ryan Davis started and went 1 inning allowing 3 and striking out 3. The player of the game was James Gifford who pitched 3 innings, allowing 2 runs while striking out 8. John Turoski, Alec Devaprasad and Trey Sgroi closed it out. Christian Pappas had 2 singles and John Turoski doubled. Alec Devaprasad, Ryan Davis, Carter Morelli, Steven Mendleson and Trey Sgroi all added base hits. A great season for the boys, playoffs start Tuesday! |

Cal Closets moved to 10-5 on the year with a win over The Perfect Blend. Steven Mendleson, Carter Morelli and Colby Nash all pitched well. Mendleson struck out 2 in 1 1/3, Morelli struck out 3 allowing no runs in 1 and 2/3 and Nash struck out 3 allowing no runs in 2 innings of work. The offense got off to a bang in the 1st inning as Trey Sgroi and Steven Mendleson went back to back, both to left center. Carter Morelli, Xavier Fitzsimmons-Cruz and Andrew Zibell all had (2) singles, James Gifford doubled and Ryan Davis, Christian Pappas and John Turoski added base hits. |
