Glenmont Beverage (McMahon)   Glenmont Beverage parlayed a pile of steals into a big win over Advanced Therapy. In the 1st inning, Shane Fox, Jared Haas, Nick Mosier, Spencer McMahon and Jaime Vail stole bases all around the diamond, including home for Fox, Mosier, and McMahon. Fox and Mosier walked and Haas, McMahon and Vail had nice singles to help move their teammates around the bases, before Glenmont went down swinging with 4 runs on the board. Austin Fox pitched a scoreless bottom of the 1st, with Haas snagging a fly out at first, and Patrick Baumgras and Haas catching an AT runner in a pickle to aid the effort. Eric Gabriels recovered from a pitch to the thigh, going on to steal second base in the 2nd, but the AT pitcher was sharp and struck out 3 other Glenmont batters. Nice fielding by Glenmont, including a catch at the fence by Baumgras, kept AT to just 1 run off a steal at home. Mosier walked and added a steal before being batted in by McMahon, who also managed to steal 2nd but couldn’t get home as AT shut down the last 2 Glenmont batters in the 3rd. A. Fox struck out 2 AT batters and Matt MacDowell caught a hit to the fence to keep AT from adding runs this inning. Cameron Scoons singled and stole second base in the 4th, but the other 3 Glenmont batters couldn’t get on base. S. Fox snagged a pop fly and pitcher A. Fox grabbed a hit and got it to Mosier on first to tally the first 2 outs at the bottom of the inning. Fox then gave up a single but struck out the next batter, ending the 4th with no runs added for either team. Glenmont rallied hard in the 5th, with singles for Haas, McMahon, MacDowell and Scoons, doubles for Mosier and A. Fox, and a big pop by Vail that drove in Mosier and McMahon. Haas, Mosier and McMahon also managed steals on the way to a total of 5 runs added this inning. Mosier took over the pitcher’s mound, walking an AT batter who then stole his way to 3rd, but holding him back by following up with 2 nice strikeouts. The next AT batter couldn’t get past Glenmont defenses at first and the inning ended with Glenmont on top, 10 to 1. Glenmont continued to push in the 6th, with S. Fox walking to first then stealing his way home; a single and a stolen base by Baumgras; then a picture-perfect homer by Haas that also sent Baumgras in for a run. Mosier singled and stole second and third, then McMahon did the same, driving in Mosier. McDowell also had a hit and A. Fox, Gabriels and Tom Curiale took walks to help Glenmont add 6 runs this inning. Mosier took on a few more AT batters before turning the mound over to McMahon. AT managed to get on base, but McMahon surprised a runner leading too far off the bag with a quick toss to third to wrap up a grueling 2-hour game.

Advanced Therapy (DeYoe)   Lets put this game behind us and move on. Stay positive guys we can do it.
