This was a close contest till the last out; but the Army men prevailed 9-8 over Frozen Ropes. Best of luck Coach Petrone, Coaches, & players in the playoffs starting tomorrow. The Army team used 5 different pitchers tonight along with 3 different catchers. Pitchers Joe Saulsbery, Teddy Potenza, Michael Gowey, Alex Dott, & closer Dean Maloney all did a great job on the hill. They were supported with Maloney, Becker, & Oppelt behind the plate. Some great defensive plays tonight. Army is on a roll going into tomorrows playoffs riding on a 4 game winning streak.

Good game All Stars - lots of offense and good defense to support your pitchers. Too many highlights, but wanted to mention this one: Dan Rucinski: 2 for 2, 3 runs scored and 3 RBI - great job Dan - I knew you had it in you!
Hats off to Coach Nicholson and the Toyota boys - never gave up and kept your heads up the entire game. Good luck in the playoffs.

Law came out smoking scoring 8 runs in the 1st inning on 4 hits. Props to coach Fazzone's squad as they bounced back to score 5 in the bottom half. Sloooooow and rainy game. Numerous pitching changes. Props to Riley Naclerio who helped stopped Law's bleeding and pitched a scorless 2nd inning. Props to Jack Loonan who caught the whole game and did an admirable job. Good team win despite missing it's big guns. We're gonna be dangerous in the playoffs fellas. |
