CDPHP's pitcher, Steven Zimring, kept our hitters off balance for most of the night, striking out 12, and while we mounted a seventh-inning rally, we fell short of a comeback. Shawn Berman had 2 of our 4 hits and scored our first run. Gabriel Smith drove a 1-1 pitch into the gap in left-center for a double that drove in the 4th run. And Patrick Naughter pitched two scoreless innings, retiring six straight.
With this loss we finish our regular season sharing first place with CDPHP. |

Nick Fratianni, Kenan Worden, and Ryan Hoin paced the Chemenergy attack today: Fratianni had 3 hits, including a double, and scored 3 runs; Worden was 2-for-2 with 2 walks, scoring 3 times; and Hoin had 2 singles for 4 RBI. James Aurelia ripped a bases-loaded triple in the 5th. Patrick Naughter and Gregory John each chipped in a hit and scored a run. Aurelia started 2 doubleplays on fly outs to center field, Naughter and Fratianni combined on a rally-killing double-play in the 6th, and the defense in general clicked. Naughter and Aurelia combined on the hill to scatter 8 hits and keep the lid on the DC's offense. |
