What a great game in the hottest (temperature) game of the year.
We had another solid pitching performance by Stephen Cozzolino and Christian Bliven. Stone Murray,Mike Woods and Christian Bliven hit for rbi's in our 3 run first inning. Nathan Thomas had 2 great defensive plays. Thanks go out to Matt Wixted and Amos Grimm for being behind the plate on such a hot day. Great way to enter the playoffs Petro-Canada with 2 wins in a row to close out the regular season. Let's keep on going! |

Great game by Red Robin. Three 7 year olds Tucker Couch, Frank Alwais and Brady Demarest all looked great in their first time pitching! The bats continue to roll as Jack Bush, Joe DeLolla, Hunter Gorman, Timothy Vartigian and Jason Meal all collected big hits. Jason Meal had 2 big rbi's and Jack Bush had a stellar play at 3rd base to save at least 2 runs. Cillis Builders looked excellent also in tough conditions. The game was well played. |

What a sweltering day! Both teams did well just to make it through a complete game. Many thanks to all of the parents for braving the heat and humidity to cheer on their sons.
Offensively, the team was led by Josh Bennett who went 3-for-3 with 3 RBI, and Brandon Hunt who went 2-for-3 with 3 RBI.
Defensively, the team was solid. Andrew Bennett had a great play in the first inning as he took a groundball to short right field and threw out the runner at first. And, despite a shaky start, Brandon Hunt got back on track and pitched a strong fourth inning, striking out two batters.
The team is well positioned for the playoffs. While defense is a strong suit for the Cillis team, the boys are reminded to remain focused at all times when they are in the field.
Congrats to Red Robin on a great game! They are a strong offensive team, and they are a team to watch in the playoffs. |

Last regular season game for the Chazen team. The lightning came and delayed the game but we all waited around and had a great congo line in the dug-out. This was a tough one but everyone played their herats out. James pitched two great innings (remember keep that hand back). Patrick came in for relief. Jeremy had a terific base hit in the second But Somers and Somers pitcher "Will" was hot and with 6 strike outs closed out a short inning game.
Great regular season everyone! On to the Playoffs! |
