Great pitching by Spring (Yamin & Ward) and Saratoga(Murphy,Place, Smith & Hagen)to keep the game very close. It could have gone either way.
Nick Smith hit a two run homer (his second this fall). Eric Beer added a double and Phil Verone had 2 singles.
Sean Ward's Spring club looks very sound going into the playoffs.
It's always a pleasure to play at Spring - well maintained fields and a very enjoyable announcer. The kids love it. |
