Niskayuna   A well played game by both sides with several outstanding defensive plays. Our boys battled back from several 2 or 3 run deficits and scored 1 in the bottom of the six to tie the score. Leading the way with hits where Evan Desso and Matt Appleton who both had 2 singles along with Ryan Green and Luke Faranda who both had doubles. Congratulations to both teams.

Wilton   A great come from behind victory for the Wilton 9U Travel Squad against a very good Clifton Park team, with the Wilton boys scoring 10 runs in the top of the 6th to erase a 6 - 3 deficit. Wilton's offense was led by Mattsui Schyljuk's 3 singles and 2 singles apiece for Marshall Kiesow and Max Pawlick . In addition, Josh Dagle hit a clutch 2 out double in the 5th inning to plate 2 runs for Wilton. Jack Herman started for Wilton, working 2 solid innings and striking out 2. Sam Jackson and Nick McDonough worked and inning and a half each - keeping the game close. Matt Prock stopped a 2 out rally in the 5th inning by striking out the last batter of the inning. Marshall Kiesow sealed the victory by striking out 3 in the final inning.

Wilton   what a battle!!!, ...with a great defensive game turned in by both sides. In the end, Wilton triumphed by scoring what turned out to be the winning runs in the top of the 5th inning. 2 base on balls and an error started the rally for the winners. Danny Hobbs followed with a hard hit fielders choice to short to plate a run. Matt(sui) Schyljuk then followed with a crisp infield single to deep short to plate the 4th run, the deciding run. Devon Caples started for Wilton, striking out 2 and giving up 1 hit. Matt Prock looked very sharp in the next 2 innings, using a newly found change up to work out of a jam in the 4th. Marshall Kiesow sealed the victory, striking out 1 in the final 2 frames. Marshall also had a key double in the game - Wilton's only extra base hit.

Niskayuna   On a sloppy, wet day, when the balls wouldn't stay dry, Niskayuna pulled out a victory with some timely hitting. Ryan Sitterly lead the victors with a single and a double and Will Whisenhunt added two singles. Kyle Pick also had a single.
