Welcome to the 2010 Season. This is your home base for the
Amsterdam 1 Senior Babe Ruth Team. Rich Weinheimer is the
Head Coach and will be assisted by Mike Pugliese. We look
forward to another great fun season!
5/16/10
Amsterdam 1 defeated Colonie 1 8 to 3 tonight at
Shuttleworth Park. Corey Kaczor pitched a complete game win.
Jake Reinhart led Amsterdam 1 hitting with a single and a
double.

Great practice tonight for everyone who made it! Lots of
defense work and BP! Game Saturday 5/22/10 at Saratoga East
Rec Field at 6:00 PM. We will meet at the Isabel Field
batting cage at 3:30 PM to hit. We will leave for Saratoga
from there at 4:30 PM. The directions to East Rec Field are
on this web site, the link in the margin on the left marked
"fields".
Thanks to Amsterdam 1 alum Richie Weinheimer who threw BP
Sunday in the cage before the game. He was working on you
guys tossing sliders, and then we went out and scored 8
runs! He'll throw again Saturday so everybody get to the
cage and get your cuts in before we leave.
Don't forget last year's bitter loss to Saratoga at home on
the late 7th inning HR in the 9-7 loss! We owe them one!

Game today on the road at Saratoga East Rec Field. we will
meet at Isabel Field Batting cage at 3:30 PM to hit. We will
leave at about 4:30PM for Saratoga.
The May 15th Niskayuna game has been rescheduled for Monday
night May 24, 2010 at 7:00 PM at Shuttleworth Park. Be there
at 6:15 PM.
Amsterdam 1 won their second game tonight beating Saratoga
7-5. Jake Reinhart got the win striking out 7. Jean Pierre
was 3-3. Manny Mercado was 2-3 with a double and a triple.
Chris Padro and John Weinheimer chipped in with singles.
Marty Spencer shined in the field with a diving catch on a
liner. Julian Camacho shined in the outfield with a great
catch and was throwing lasers from deep in right field.
The May 15th Niskayuna game has been rescheduled for Monday
night May 24, 2010 at 7:00 PM at Shuttleworth Park. Be there
at 6:15 PM.

Tonight's game has been re-scheduled. Niskayuna could not
field a team for tonight's game. We'll practice instead. Be
at Shuttleworth by 6:15 PM.

I hope everybody had a great holiday weekend! Word is that
Tyler Wilson hit a Grand Slam for Amsterdam Mav's on Sunday
against Guilderland! Let's try to match that tomorrow
against Scotia.
Game 6/3/10 at Scotia. Game time has been moved up to 8:00
PM. We will meet at Isabel Field Batting Cage at 6:00 PM. Be
there early if you want to hit! We will leave for Collins
Park at 7:00 PM. Corey Kaczor is scheduled to start for A1!
Christian Weinheimer may have to work and may not be
available. Pat Riley is not available, no word on Jumpy
Colon yet. Otherwise I think we'll have a pretty full squad

Tough loss tonight 12-1 to Scotia. Pitching and defense
were off. We'll be looking to make a come back Saturday at
Niskayuna. Jake Reinhart is scheduled to start. Jumpy Colon
shined he was 2-3 and reached on an error.

Game tomorrow 6/5 at Niskayuna 2. Meet at Isabel Field
Batting cage at 1:00 PM to hit. We will leave at 2:00 PM for
the 3:00 game.

Sorensco rained out today.
Today's game against Sorensco has been rescheduled to
Saturday 6/12 at 6:30 PM at Lynch 4 Diamonds. be there by
6:00 PM.
6/15/10
Great effort tonight by A1. We tied undefeated Sorensco 5-5,
when the game was called after 8 innings due to darkness.
Manny Mercado was the star of the game pitching 7 innings
and striking out 11.
We play a make up tomorrow 6/16 at Niskayuna at 6:00 PM. We
leave from Isabel Field Batting cage at 5:00 PM. Lets get
back in the win column!
