A great defensive game for both teams. At the top of the sixth inning Matt Klingbeil led off with a single, Eric beer walked and stole second and Ben Place blasted a two run double to right field. Next Nick Smith rocked a double to the same spot and drove in Place.
Nisky came back later that inning and scored 2 runs a long HR by T. Brennan that drove in B. Oliver who had blasted a tripple earlier that inning. Place would retire the final 2 batters leaving the tie run stranded at third.
Keegan Murphy pitched 3 scoreless innings allowing no runs and scattering 2 hits strinking out 2.
Phil Verone and Connor Kane made some great defensive plays that halted mid innings ralllies by Nisky.
This was Saratoga's 10 win in a row
as they head to the championship game next weekend. |

Tip of the cap to Caoch Becker and Staff for a good season and a good group of players who always showed good sportmanship and a lot of heart.
