Outstanding team effort today. The bats really came alive for a 5 run fifth inning. Another great outing on the mound by Nick Tartaglia with 11 K's and also a great job behind the plate by Will Halpin. Great defense all around today getting 7 force outs, three of which were inning and game ending.
We'll need another great team
effort tomorrow against a strong Dom's team in the championship.
Congrats to the N & G players and Coach Medici's entire staff on a great season. |

In the chess match of the season, Dom's struggled early in every aspect of the game. But in the 2nd have the bats came alive, the runners ran and the positive vibes were flowing freely, shifting the momentum our way. We took the lead and Woodsy managed to seal the deal after a very hard fought 5th and 6th inning by Barra. It seemed like every batter was David Eckstein, fouling off pitch after pitch, working Woodsy to 8 or 9 pitch at bats. Hats off to Coach "extraordinare" Matson for truly having the most balanced, well taught group of boys I have seen this year. It was a game that I wish no one had to lose, and wished we were in opposite divisions, so we wouldn't have to play each other so early on. On to the next round....stay tuned! |

The Barra dental team met a very tough pitching squad and didn't back down in the least. Knowing the only way to the top is through the best and the best we went through. You kids have impressed me all year and last night was no different. You never quit on yourselves and certainly on each other, a true team spirit. We were one hit and 1 batter from the top of the order in the 6th with the bases loaded and the pitcher having only 7 pitches left and the game would have taken a completely different turn. My hat is off to you and your fighting spirit and I hang my hat up with a smile knowing it was as successfull season (10-2-1) but more importantly is where you were at the beginning of the season and where you are now. A special thanks to Coaches Stiso, Connolly, Darriano, Miller, Chase and Jason for all your help and leadership and to Team Mom D. Bush for all her help during the year. I wish the best to coach Mitchell and Dom's Pizza in the next game. |

Congrats to CRO on a great season. Alex K awsome bat.
Way to go TNT, a great effort today. Great pitching Nick Tartaglia, a 2 hitter, and a triple with the bat. Great job behind the plate Connor Treacy. Good batting and base running Bryan Miller, Thomas Kovacs, Thomas Sausville, Will Halpin, Ryan Eustace, and Jason Cotugno. Hang in Brendan, you'll get one next time. Let swing the bat Richard, you can do it, I know you can.
Well we need a great team effort in the next game. We are missing three players. We'll all have to pull together to get this one.
Ryan, practice catching, we may need you behind the plate on Saturday.
Great job everyone, see you on Saturday. |

Split game due to the rain delay brought all the crowds back for an exciting finish to a well played game. Brogan Barker and Matt Morano pitched a tremendous game against a solid a well coached Mr. K squad. Brogan led the hitting attack with a double and single, Matt , had a double Jared Novotny a single and Rico Battibulli a big RBI double. It was a pleasure playing against Coach Cassillo and his staff, class acts all the way. Great job Latham International and keep it going Saturday. |
