Petro Canada   Played our best game of the year against a very good team. Pitching and defense were strong but the bats really cam alive. Two hits each for Matt Miller, Will Halpin, Dan Bloodgood, Alex Koppel, and Tim Vartigian led the way.

Defrense & Cavanaugh   Like Friday night's win vs. Albany Mechanical, the box score tells the story of the game a lot better than the final score -- this was a close game right up until the last inning. The Dukes played with heart all season and kept on getting better each game. We got one playoff win but couldn't get it done today against LaBarge. Still, the boys had a lot of fun, played with heart and have a lot to be proud of. Good luck to coaches Miller, Booker and Allen Tuesday night! Dukes highlights: Will Zajesky pitched three strong innings, including a shutout first and second, and struck out five. Jeff Rappold pitched three strong innings, striking out four and giving up only one earned run. Jeff also scored a run and made another amazing play at third base, firing a bullet from deep in the hole to just get the speedy Jonah Booker at first! Jake LaChapelle pitched the seventh when the defense unfortunately fell apart, leading to three unearned runs along with the one earned run. Jake also caught three innings and got a hit. Ryan Marsh has been on fire on offense all season and today was no exception! He went three for three today and scored two of our three runs! Herbie Knight had two hits. Cal Arnold had an RBI single. Asher Novkov-Bloom broke out of his mini-batting slump, making very solid contact on all three at-bats. He got a single, and was the only one of six batters to face Dom DeMarco to put the ball in play, with a solid shot to center field. Great way to end the season, Asher!

Labarge   Great job boys!! Special thanks to coach Booker and coach Allen for bringing home the win. Lets get ready for the next round!!

Defrense & Cavanaugh   What a great game by both teams! This is one of those games where the box score tells it better than the final score -- this was one close game! They led, then we tied. We led, then they tied it. Then they led and we tied it and never looked back! Great job by the boys from Albany Mechanical and nice work by coaches Garcia and Bethon! Highlights for the Dukes: Ryan Marsh pitched four strong innings, giving up only one earned run and three unearned runs. He also contributed a single and a double and scored twice, including the tying run in the sixth! Kyle Rudzinski pitched the fifth and sixth, giving up only one unearned run. Kyle also had a single and a run scored. Jake LaChapelle pitched a shutout 7th inning to seal the win, and contributed an RBI single! Oh yeah, he also caught the first four innings. Jeff Rappold had two hits, scored twice and had an RBI. He also made the best play I've ever seen on these fields -- going deep in the hole at third base and firing a strike to Cal Arnold at first base to just get the very speedy Jake Washauk! Herbie Knight had an RBI double and scored a run. Cal Arnold had a walk, a hit, and scored twice. Will Zajesky had an RBI single and scored a run. Justin Bruck went two for three, and Brandon Grady scored a run. Great job, guys! Up next: LaBarge!
