Chazen Companies   What a way to end the season. Championship game, tied at 4 in the 6th inning. Stewarts however had Jake Popiel pitching and Jake and Ryan hitting in the 6th and wound up taking the game. We had some great moments in this game boys: Five base hits in the first inning and hits by Matthew, William and Grant in the second! William helped us again pitching his heart out in the 5th and 6th. You guys are all champions - Great 2009 season! Hope to see you all next season. Coach Montagne

Price Chopper   The was a close game aganist a tough Chazen team. Good pitching and defense were played by both teams. We finally got this Semi-Final game in due to the rainy week. We had the early lead 2-0 in the third inning and came up short 3-2. This was a nail-bitter that went to the 6th inning. In the 3rd inning Amos Grimm and Zaheer Irani had hits. EJ Birch had a timely double with an RBI and Spencer Clements had an single and an RBI as well. We had numerous defensive plays as well. Our pitchers held one of our leagues best teams to only 3 runs. I am so proud our team. We lost to Chazen 7-0 in our first game of the season only to meet them again in the Semi-Final game of the playoffs and lose by 1 run in the 6th inning. We had a great season. I am especially proud of how far our team came from our first practice until our final game. Great season Price Chopper. Enjoy your Summer!

Chazen Companies   This was the toughest competition we have seen yet! Great game by Price Chopper. Few Highlights: Jack started us off pitching out of two innings with the bases loaded. Connor pitched two with 4 strike outs and some good fielding behind him. After three and 1/2 we were down 2:1 but we got the bats going in the 4th. Jake was walked. Ethan hit a bomb to center scoring Jake and getting on second. Justin Montagne hit one up the first base line moving Ethan to second and then Jack hit a double bringing Ethan him for the go ahead run. We brought William in to pitch in the top of the 5th. Four batters, two strike outs and solid infield and we were back at bat. Matthew had a nice single and stole second. Noah made good contact getting Matthew to third but we couldn't get Matthew home. So with a one run lead William pitched the top of the 6th. He was ahead in the count when he hit Anthony from Price Chopper with a pitch. Anthony was good to go though. William had two more strike outs but Anthony stole second in the process and we were faced with the top of Price Choppers order. William hung in and worked a full count. A final swing at a coach pitched ball and the game was over. Whew! On to the Championship against a real tough Stewarts team!

Price Chopper   This was a great win against a good Whalen Group team. We had a great start by scoring 4 runs in the first inning. Our defense really played well. Spencer Clements and Ryan Pardo continue to do a great job behind the plate. Our outfield played their best game of the year. Zaheer Irani, Chris Sukljian, Ben Richardson, Ryan Pardo and Anthony Chonski. Ryan Pardo had a great catch at shortstop to end the game with bases loaded. Geremy Navarro had an awesome in the park Home Run followed by a triple by Amos Grimm and a single and RBI by EJ Birch which capped off our offensive performance. Keep up the great work Price Chopper one game at a time!
