First off big thanks and congrats to the LB team. They played a hard, close game. Great respect for coach Joe and Tim for a very successful year they had with their team. We could of not asked for a better and well matched championship game. What a great end to a great season by the Dom's team. I asked the boys before the game to give 100% and boy did they respond. This years team proved that teamwork, hard work and respect for the game really goes a long way. Once again, I am very proud of each player and I thank them for their time and effort they all put in this year. I will really miss this team. Guys always remember: WINNERS NEVER QUIT!! |

Congratulations and hats off to coach Durante and the entire Dom's Pizza squad! You all played hard and made great plays!
Our LB's played a great game until the very end - What a terrific group of kids! It was an absolute pleasure coaching you guys and watching you play this season - you never, ever gave up!
Defense: All of our LB's throughout the post season really stepped it up with their defense. Thank you for working so hard and doing your best!! Backing up first base from right field, backing up the pitcher on the throws back, and so many other little things that really made us the team that we were in the playoffs.
Bats: High Def - walk and scored; Velcro - single and scored; Milkman - single, double, walk and scored; Buffinator - (bombed one to left, Great Hit! - but time was called) single; Rubber Legs - single; Vacuum - walk; Hammer - single; Shanester - single.
I was so proud of all of you this entire season - but especially Monday Night! Since April we learned how to win as a team and how to lose as a team - and hopefully you all had fun playing the game of baseball. Congrat's LB's on the Great season!

Great defensive ball game by both teams!! Coach Maloney's AMT's hit the ground running, scoring 3 in the first - two off the bat of Asher (great hit). But our LB's fought back and managed to take the lead in the 4th (4-3). We tacked on a few insurance runs in the 6th by the Milkman to give us a 6-3 final.
On the hill: Starter (and almost closer) Hammer Hinkell had a fantastic game. He allowed only 3 runs on 6 hits in 5 innings. Hammer, #7, had 7 K's on the day and recorded only 3 walks. They played the song Enter Sandman when closer Milkman (Mo) Egan took the mound (not really - but they should have) with 2 outs in the 5th. 1 pitch and the inning was over. Mark faced 4 batters in the sixth and secured the win for the LB's.
D-Fence: Rubber Legs Dzialo made the long throw from 3rd base to end the 1st. Short stop, High Def Reppold makes a play that Cal Ripken himself would be proud of in the 2nd inning. Ground ball hit to short with a runner on 1st - High Def fields the ball, touches 2nd and throws a perfect strike to Luke at 1st for the double play. Everyone played terrific - especially the outfield - you guys did great. Last play of the game the Buffinator throws out an AMT runner attempting to steal 2nd - great throw!
Bats: High Def - 2 singles; Velcro Methe - Sacrifice bunt and bunted for a single; Milkman - 2 singles; Buffinator - single; Rubber Legs Dzialo - double; DP Dupuis - single.
Thanks coach Maloney and the great AMT Law squad for a great playoff game! |

Very solid game today for the boys. Great pitching backed by solid defense and good at bats. This team has really worked hard this year and deserve to be in the position they are. Nothing comes easy and they really worked for it. I cant say enough how proud I am of each kid on this team. We are off to the championship game. No matter how the next game turns out, you all should be very proud of yourselves. Special thanks to Roy, Jimmy and staff for a well played and coached game. Your team played hard and with great sportsmanship. Thank you. |

What a game again by the CRO cardiac kids. This tremendous game was played over 4 days due to weather and both teams were up for the challenge. Both teams played hard and deserved to win. All the kids on both teams deserve a round of applause. Special kudos to Steve B for getting the game winning hit with 1 out and the bases loaded in the bottom of the 7th inning. Great game guys. Keep it going. |

Strong defensive game on both sides of the diamond is the story from the Roemer Mechanical v. Latham Beverage playoff game Tuesday night. Holding a 2 – 2 tie in the top of the 6th, lefty C. McCaffery goes yard opposite field to give Roemer their first lead of the game. Roemer scored 2 more in the top of the 6th to give them a 3 run lead. But much like they have done all season our LB’s responded to the challenge. LB first baseman, DP Dupuis smacked a single to right field to score the tying and go ahead runs to put this game in the books. All of the players on both teams really demonstrated to the coaches and spectators how well NC can play baseball at this level. It was extremely fun and exciting to watch!
On the hill: High Def Rappold pitched a solid 4 innings holding Roemer to 2 runs on 2 base hits and banking 6 K’s. The Buffinator came out in the 5th and recorded 2 K’s, allowed 1 hit and no runs. Our closer, Milkman Egan also had a strong inning of work. He allowed 3 hits – but settled right in and got the job done to get us out of the 6th.
Bats: 5th straight game with 10 or more base hits – great job LB! High Def – single; Velcro Methe – picture perfect bunt for a single; Buffinator – single (also a Sacrifice and HBP); Rubber Legs Dzialo – 2 singles; Vacuum Lue – single; DP Dupuis – triple and single; Shanester White – double and a triple.
Everyone deserved a game ball on Tuesday – but I didn’t have enough in my bucket. So the honor went to the Shanester, who was 2 for 2 on the day with 2 solid extra base hits, and DP Dupuis “Mr. Clutch” for driving in the game winning run.
Thank you to coaches MacArevy / Woods and the entire Roemer Mechanical squad for such an exciting and well played playoff game.
