What's a Coach To Do?

When your league begins using InGoodStandings (InGS), each team manager/coach can be “registered” to update their team’s online standings pages.  At that time, an email is sent to you with instructions and links to click on to perform the various functions explained below. Being a team manager gives you the authority to perform some simple functions including:

·        Choose your team uniform colors

·        Maintain your team news section

·        Enter your game results and highlights

·        Authorize other coaches or parent-helpers to do any of the above tasks for your team

InGS’s goal is to make these tasks as simple and quick as possible for you.  Once you perform any of these tasks once, you won’t hesitate to come back when it’s time to update again!

User ID and Password:
Your used ID is always your email address.  Your password is automatically assigned by InGS when you are registered and sent to you email address.  You may change the password or have InGS send it again at any time from the login page.

Here’s some of things that you can do using InGS:

Maintain Your News Section

Each team has their own news section displayed on the team web page just below the list of played games.  With just a couple of clicks, you can update that news section the results will be seen immediately!  Here are some neat things you might post in your team news section:

 Team meetings and obligations
         Use the news section as a reminder to the team of upcoming events
 Concession Stand roster
 Post Practice schedules
 Team “rules” and expectations for all to see
 Team roster
      If your league supports placement of player names on the Internet, list your team members!
 

Reach out to your players and their families

You, your coaches, your players and their families should all be using InGS “Watches”.  Anyone can sign up for a watch on your team.  If they do, then an automatic email is sent to them whenever you update your team news section.  They know immediately that you’ve changed the news page!  Not only can they “Watch” the news page, they can also choose to “Watch” your team schedule and/or your team game results.  They are then emailed whenever the schedule is updated for your team or whenever game highlights are entered.

          Any time you update the team news page, they are notified via email
 Any of your fans can set a "schedule watch" from your team page
          Any time a schedule change is made, an email notification is sent to all "watchers
 Anyone can Import your team schedule into their calendar
          InGS allows anyone to download an team or division schedule directly into a spreadsheet or calendar program

 

Enter Game Scores and Highlights

From the comfort of your home, you can enter the game results, highlights and pitching record.  And entering game scores is so simple, it only take a couple of minutes from any computer!  You also have the option to authorize any of your coaches or parents to enter game scores (or team news for that matter) for your team.

 Have your coaches, players and families set "game watches" from your team page
          Any time a new game result is entered, they are notified via email

Communicate with other coaches and administrators

InGS offers the "Message Center", where coaches can go to put together various messages and send them to select members of their league.

 Select a precise mail address list by checking names off the league list
 Invite teams to play pickup games
 Send a message from your PC’s email program or directly from InGoodStandings
          This allows you to communicate even if you’re not logged in from your home computer

Keep track of the competition

It's easy and fun to keep track of the all the games as they are played within your division…..or any other division.  Just set a "Watch" from any division page and you will get notifications of games results from all the teams within that division.

 You can set "game watches" from the division page
 As other teams enter game results you are notified via email

 Click on “Look at the Standings”
 Pick your league and team
 click up “Update News” in the left column
 Click on the “Watch” area to set a Watch
 Tell your team to go to the team page and click on “Watch” to set their Watches
