Probably our best defensive game of the year. Couple of hits each for Ethan, Will and Dan. Pitching was strong again as we have now used 9 different pitchers over the course of the first 5 games. I'd like to get all 12 kids a chance on the mound as the season moves on. Good luck to Coach Bloom and the D & C team the rest of the way.		Some days are just like that! After Friday night's win, when the boys just seemed to do everything right, this was a tough loss, in which everything just seemed to go wrong. So, not much in the way of highlights for the Dukes today; mostly congratulations to the terrific job done by the Petro Canada coaches and team. They did everything right -- hitting, running, fielding, throwing, pitching. Especially impressive was the fact that they used pitchers who don't do a lot of pitching, and they just flat out got the job done. Special kudos to Alex Koppel for pitching the third and fourth and Dong-Seop Eah for the fifth. For the Dukes, pitching highlights were Jake LaChapelle's 1-run 2nd inning, Matt Prince's shutout 4th and Brandon Grady's shutout 5th. We'll work some more on the hitting, fielding, pitching and base-running at tomorrow's practice and come roaring back for our games Tuesday and Wednesday. Go Dukes!!
