On what felt like a midsummer evening for baseball, Bryant Asset Protection defeated a superb Novus Engineering club 13 to 5 behind a tremendous pitching effort from starter Colin Lynch (7 Ks, 1 BB). Nate Quackenbush, Marcus Gentile and Ben Bryant all had nice plays in the infield to lead the defense. On offense, Matt Tiberia led the way with three hits, two runs scored and some nifty base running; Brendan O’Keefe added three hits; Ben Bryant had two singles, two runs scored and continued his aggressive running on the base paths; Matt Hicks went one for one, scored four runs, had three walks and a hit; Marcus Gentile had two hits and two runs scored; Nate Quackenbush had a single and a double and drove in two runs; and Hunter McCauliffe blasted a double to the gap in right-center. Reliever Robbie Quinlan came in to close out the game and preserve the victory.
