The Northwestern Mutual boys faced some tough pitchers today with Northeast Ortho., and as a result, went down in defeat. Congrats to Coach Miller and team. As we enter the final stretch of the season, let's give a big shout out to Wendy Lozano, (who is our team parent), and all of our parents for dutifully filling in on your assigned concession game, and for supporting the team. We may not have many "W's, but the support of our parents is noticed and appreciated. The funniest thing that happened today came from who else, but Zack R. After Nick struck out, Nick came back to the dugout, & Zack said to Nick, "who cares about the strike out, at least you nailed that red truck". He was referring to the pitch earlier which Nick smashed foul to left field into the parking lot, and into the door of that red truck with a thud. Zack's comments put a smile on Nick's face & the dugout erupted in laughter. That's the type of team we have. It's a fun bunch. Forgot to welcome back Coach Lacivita after his week off. Good to have you back. Great motivational speech to the boys today. Lastly, thanks to Manager Lozano for pulling all this together, & for all of your efforts!!! Game tomorrow: 12:00 Noon. It's a showdown against the Harrigan Coached juggernaut, who is currently at the top of the standings. We all know that sports history has shown that on any given day, the favorite can be beaten. Well, whatever happens tomorrow, our guys will sure try their best, and that's what counts. And, they will have fun doing it!
