The second game this week and another tough competitor. The CRO offense supplied 12 hits (doubles: Oberting, Durante-2, Methe'; singles: Aquario, Barnes, Durante, Methe', McLoughlin-2, Ferris-2) resulting in seven runs. The defense played a tighter game with well played balls in center field (Durante), at short stop (two 6-3, Methe'-Pardo), from behind the dish (CS 2-5, Barnes-McLoughlin) and the 'catch of the day' a double play (4-6-3 DP, Rhoden-Methe'-Pardo, sweet). Pitching rang-up 9Ks, but also issued 11 walks in the decision. Good luck to the 'Builders' during the remainder of the season and into the playoffs. Thank you Coach Paulsen for a very sporting game.		Thank you to Coach Durante for being very gracious to P.D. this game. We started with 7 players, or was it 9 , maybe 8. ( Thanks to Coach Methe for sorting out my substitutions that occurred during the game as players came and went - my first base coach thought the game started at 3:00 - he has been hanging out too much with my third base coach who had the time wrong last week). We had to call up the 9 and 10 year old group again, led by our favorite Ethan Duda who earned a walk in the 5th inning. Our 9 year old player, Conor, puts the ball in play, scores Ethan and eventually scores himself for the winning run. Cam makes his pitching debut and calmly closes out the game for a save.
