Great way to start the season Friday night under the lights. Strong pitching efforts today, solid defense and some good hits were key. Great way to start the season boys. The season opener played on a cool April night under the lights, ah baseball ! A good game starts with good pitching and the CROs provided six innings (Barnes, McLoughlin, Durante). The offense proved its potency with several singles (Durante, Aquario-3, Ricci) and three doubles (Barnes, McLoughlin, Methe'). Aquario was 3 for 3. Defensively, the game was well played with solid performances behind the dish (Durante, Ferris, Barnes) and in the field including a 1-1-3 DP (McLoughlin, Barnes), i.e., the pitcher catches a line drive and throws to the first baseman for the second out, the runner at first having started for second when the ball was hit.
