Friedman's Flyers got their first win of the season against a tough Keystone Builders Corp squad. Friedman's battled back from a 5-0 deficit with a big 6 run 5th inning and then held on for the victory with some tight defense. Cameron Schultz led the way by gunning down a would be base stealer for the final out of the game, and driving in the tying and go ahead runs with a single. Luke Andres also made some fine plays at second base including a shoe string grab of a humpback liner in the critical 6th inning. Ben Gagnon came on in relief and found his groove with 3.2 innings of strong pitching. Michael Ortale also was key with a single in the critical 6 run fifth inning, and scored what proved to be the winning run with aggressive base running.
