The flyers lost a tight game by 1 run in the late innings after losing 1 run leads twice in the game. Josh Rosenthal and David Sausto combined to pitch a strong game. Henry Manley and Ryan Zigrosser scored the Flyer runs.		California Closets won a well played game to open the season with a 3-2 victory over the Flyers. Alec Devaprasad started, going 2 innings striking out 1 and allowing only 1 run. Steven Mendleson went the final 4 innings striking out 11 batters while allowing only 1 run. The hitting stars Steven Mendleson 2-3, with a triple and a double and Trey Sgroi 2-3, with a double and a single. Andrew Zibell also added a single in the win. With the game tied 2-2 in the bottom of the 6th, Steven Mendleson doubled to drive in the winning run.
