It was a perfect evening for baseball on field 3. Not surprisingly, the Pizza boys and Northwestern Mutual did not disappoint - both teams opened up with a 3 run first inning. From there it was great pitching and solid defense from both benches. On the hill for NWM were Ben Pesnel, Mark Egan, Nick Buff and Erik "E" Nelson - all threw very well. Our infield and outfield really played well tonight, making great plays at very critical points of the game!! Great job boys! It came down to the bottom of the 6th, NWM up by 2, runners on 1st and 2nd, 2 OUTS – the Pizza Boys #3 hitter Dom D. steps to the plate and hits a looooonnnngggg fly ball to right center - our center fielder James runs back, on the warning track (if we had one) and makes the grab to end the game. Well played game and great job on both sides of the diamond - coach Murray, Bird and Comolli and the all the Pizza Boys good luck the rest of the season!
