Unbelievable game by both teams today - tough one to lose. Good luck to Coach Becker and the rest of the US Army team on the rest of the season. Outstanding pitching from Nick T(5 innings, 5 K's, 2 hits allowed) and Matt (1 inning, 2 K's) Not many hits in this pitcher's duel (Danny O, Matt(double and run scored), Dan N (RBI), and Billy. Great defense today boys - Zach started a nice 5 to 3 double play and made a nice play at 1st as well. Keep playing like a team and the wins will come!		Wow....what a season opener thriller. The US Army marched on to victory with a 2-1 win over All Stars Academy. Hats off to All Stars & it's Coaching Staff on a very well played game. Thru the top of the 4th, Tyler Becker recorded 8 K's and he added another in the 5th, totaling 9 K's,while only allowing 3 hits. Awesome job. In the bottom of the 4th, Timmy Buff, drove in Tyler Becker with a hard shot single, to allow the US Army to take a 1-0 lead. All Stars came back with a run in the 5th, but T. Buff once again drove Tyler Becker in with a sac. fly to center. Kevin Long came in to close it out in the 6th & 7th inning, & pitched superbly, recording 5 K's. As always, Dean Maloney was awesome behind the plate with 6 innings.
