We saw a really determined NC Shakers team today. The got up on us early with 5 runs in the first inning but we worked our way back, held a one run lead and wound up taking the game. Saw some nice fielding by Zack Kupiec with a LF grab in the third and an unassisted double play at first in the 5th. Two other nice line drive catches by Griffin at the mound and a diving catch by David at SS in the 6th. Another solid day of pitching. Jake Popiel had 4 strike outs and faced 6 batters in two innings. Ryan Doring had three strike outs and held bases loaded to no runs scored in the 4th, Danny and Griffin closed us out in the 5th and 6th. Offense got going after a slow start in the first. Justin Montagne got out of his slump with two hits and one base on balls in 3 at bats. The team had 14 singles and 2 doubles by Jake and Zach Snyder. Great game team
