Stewarts		The Whalen Group
Great game. A lot of firsts today. We played well in the field but could still use some practice. Congratulations to Jacob for hitting his FIRST homerun. It was a MONSTER shot over the big section of the fence. Great Game Whalen Group!		On a beautiful opening day The Whalen Group came out ready to play as we took on Stewarts. Austin Baird and Spencer Cox started off game with consecutive singles and were driven in by Gerard Rhatigan and Zach Snyder for a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first. The Whalen Group opened 3-0 lead next inning on a Robert Gagnon hit scoring Ian Burke. The Whalen Group tacked on 2 more in the next inning for a 5-0 lead as G. Rhatigan and Snyder scored on a Reade Ben hit. All boys played very well, pitching was outstanding with Austin Baird, Zach Snyder and Ryan Rhatigan. A big congratulations to Jacob Popiel of Stewarts, on a over the fence homer in the top of the fifth to make it a final score of 5-1. Great job by both teams on such a beautiful, hot day. Manager Rhatigan and Coach Snyder are very proud of boys coming together as team with so few practices, due to bad weather.
