On a night with the skies looking threatening, we were still able to get this night game in. The Cards held a slim 3-2 lead after 4 innings. Despite only 4 hits for the entire game, the Cards managed to get some runners on late in the game, & then use their speed & skill to get them around. The Red Sox never gave up & were managed well under Skipper Petrone. Good luck Red Sox. Pitchers: Derek started & did well, & had a great play at the plate with Tyler to get the runner out. Kodi stepped in, & he continues to baffle batters with his unique delivery. In the 6th inning, our big man, Matt steps on the mound & retires the side after only 4 batters. Then, in the 7th, we went to Billy to close out the game. Billy recorded one K, & managed to get the remaining 2 outs to seal the victory. Catchers: Tyler, Dean, & Alex K. displayed their catlike reflexes behind the plate & as usual, were extraordinary. Play of the game: Deven scooped up a line drive shot that landed in front of him in center field. A miss would have meant a triple. Nice job Deven...
