What a great start to the season. After sprinting out to a 10 1 lead CRO held on to an exciting 10-9 victory against a great Latham Beverage team. What an end with the tying run on third and Luke DuPris hitting a line drive up the middle that was snagged by John Pappas to end the game. Great team pitching with Patrick M. and Jimmy H leading the way w/ 2 innings each. Andrew B. John P. adn Michael A. each pitched one solid inning. Hitting highlights. Dan B. Patrick M. ERic D. Ryan M. and Mike R. all had 2 hits. Jimmy H Andrew B. John P. and Mike A. each had 1 hit. The team had some great Fielding plays. EJ and Dayo and Joe A all had good plays in the field. Congrats to all the players on a hard fought game.		It was an exciting opening day game against coach Marsh's CRO squad. The LB's were fighting back until the very last out. Our bats and gloves really came alive in the 5th and 6th innings, scoring 8 runs and only allowing 1. Way to go guys! Fielding Highlights: Outstanding heads-up play by the Nick H. (SS) to Nick D. (C) combo to throw a runner out at the plate. Everyone on the team really worked hard defensively. Hitting Highlights: So many clutch hits in the 5th and 6th - but the most exciting hit of the day came in the bottom of the 6th with 2 outs and the tying run on 3rd. Luke D. smashed a bullet line drive up the middle but the Ortho. SS made a great diving catch to put this game in the books! Congrats to coach Marsh and the CRO team - good luck the rest of the season.
