This was a real barn burner folks. The first inning started off with Chazen scoring 4 and Red Robin coming right back scoring 5. Both teams pithed 2-8 year olds and one 7 and all the pitchers worked real hard on the mound. Michael Gassett hit a tripple in the top of the 3rd for the go ahead run by Chazen, only to have Brendan from Red Robin get on first on an overthrow error allowing Jack from Red Robin to score and tie the game. A base hit by Chazen's James Oberting allowed Alexander Loupessis to score for Chazen and another shot by Ethan Poole brought in Jack O'Hara giving Chazen a two run lead. Red Robin was not ready to hang up the spikes however and in the the bottom of 5th Jeremey got up to bat first and hit an in-the-park home run to bring Red Robin back to within 1 for the tie. Michael Gassett was not having anything to do with it though and struck out the side with one walk sneeking in between two K's. And that was the game as time and daylight was running out. Great game by both sides. These teams meet again in the first round of the playoffs! May the best team win!
