I'm pretty sure Team Achievements has been officially eliminated from playoff contention. If we were in the first week of June, that wouldn't necessarily be that bad of a statement but it's only May 7th.... This was our second consecutive bottom of the 7th inning heartbreak loss. We were ahead late in each of those games but just couldn't quite hold on. To the kids credit, we were down 6-1 after 2 innings and fought back to take a 8-7 lead heading to the bottom of the 7th. Just as in our previous game, the beef of the opposition's lineup was due up and produced. A sidenote here was that a 5th grade field trip had Max Perrotta, Dan & Dillon Bolgnino trapped up in Lake George. Coach Perrotta's personal helicopter was able to get Max to the game in the 6th inning but never picked up D & D. Although Max wasn't able to swing the stick*, he was able to take the mound and limit the damage in the 7th. The best thing about playing Coach Perrotta (a.k.a. Field Manager) is that you don't have to rake the field after the game!! Thanks Coach!
