Great weather - for early April! It was chilly and wet, but the weather did not stop the Fighting Choppers as they put together an exciting come from behind victory. Choppers were a little shaky defensively in the first two innings, dispite solid pitching by starter Danny K. But after settling in, they started making plays and getting the job done. Great fly ball catches by Justin "JT" Tervay and Joey Kirker. Also great defense at 2B by Danny K. in the 5th. Closing pitcher, Joey K., did a terrific job in the last 4 innings. Also, great throw from left fielder Joe Smith that prevented a run! The boys brought their bats tonight! Joey K., Jake G. and Nick D. all had 2-baggers - and all were bullets to the fence. Other hitters include Dan L. (3-4), JT (1-2), Gary P.(1-2), and Luke H. (1-2). Great high scoring game - terrific job by both squads.
