S. Colonie		Kingston
		Colonie used the long ball to win its first game of the state tournament. Their eleven hit attack was led by Andy Carucci with two homeruns and a double. Derek Zielinski also homered and singled. Matt Vetrone went 3 for 4, Liam Keegan tripled, and Steve Crouse doubled. Chris Smith scattered five hits over five strong innings and was relieved in the sixth by Pauly Nylin. Final Score 12-2. First Inning Colonie--Carucci doubles after two fly balls to center. He is stranded when Ron Notar lines to third (0) Kingston--Maloney leads off with a walk and steals second. With one out Galm doubles to left, driving in Maloney. Two pop-ups to second end the inning.(1) Second Inning Colonie--After two ground outs, Weinman reaches first on an error. Chris Smith singles and Steve Crouse doubles to left center, driving in two. He is thrown out at third to end the inning.(2) Kingston With one out, McDonough bloops a single past short. McMahon hits into a 1-4-3 double play to end the inning (0) Third Inning Colonie Vetrone leads off with a single, and is sacrificed to second by Rivera. Carucci then hits a two run homer. After a strike out, Zielinski homers. Nylin grounds out to end the inning.(3) Kingston Contrady lead off the bottom of the third with a walk, followed by a single by Maloney. However Contrady overran second and was caught in a run down for the first out. After tagging Contrady, Carucci fired to first to double off Maloney. Policastro then popped to short to end the inning.(0) Fourth Inning Colonie With two outs, Crouse reached first on an error and then stole second. He was driven home by Vetrone's single. Rivera lined to short to end the inning. (1) Kingston Galm lead off with a one run homer. However Smith managed to get a strike out and two groung balls to second to stifle any rally.(1) Fifth Inning Colonie Carucci lead off with a homer. Two consecutive one out walks set the stage for Dan Madelone's two out pinch hit single which drove in a run. Crouse struck out to end the inning.(2) Kingston Palmer singled with one out and one on, but both runners were stranded when the next two batters flied to center and short.(0) Sixth Inning Colonie Vetrone single was followed by a triple by Keegan. Carucci then walked. Notar hit a sacrifice fly scoring Keegan. Zielinski singled putting runners on the corners. Consecutive singles by Nylin and Weinman plated the two runners.(4) Kingston With Nylin pitching, Galm struck out, Shatzel popped to short. After a hit batsman, Hudak flew to center to end the game.
